Welcome to my blog!

Just a quick note on the name of this blog.

Well, "xīn"(pronounced shin) is the Chinese word for the "heart", so XīnQuiry would be the "Heart's Inquiry." I have chosen a Chinese word to impress, of course, the readers with my extensive knowledge of Chinese language (If by "extensive knowledge" one could mean knowing half- a- dozen words!).

To be serious, for the time being at least, by making this choice, I just wanted to highlight my love for (traditional) China and its culture in all its various manifestations. (Some of my future jottings on this blog might as well be concerning this love of mine, while others may be about anything under the heaven.)
